Free QR Code Generator

Paste a link and download the code. It is yours and it never expires.

Fill in the field and the code appears here.

For printing: at least about 2 × 2 cm for close scanning, larger for posters.

The code is created in your browser. What you enter is not sent to our server.

Many QR code sites give you a "dynamic" code that sends visitors through their server and stops working after a trial unless you pay. Here the link or text is stored in the code itself, so there is nothing to switch off: no account, no watermark and no limit on the number of codes.

After creating a code, the tool reads it back with a decoder to confirm it works. It is still worth scanning a test print with your phone, especially with a logo or custom colours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this QR code expire?

No. This is a static code: the data is inside the image, and scanning does not go through our server. The code keeps working as long as the link it contains works.

Can I change the link after printing?

No. A static code cannot be edited, so check the link before printing. If you need a changeable address, point the code at a page you control.

What is the error correction level?

It is how much of the code can be damaged and still read: L about 7%, M about 15%, Q about 25%, H about 30%. A higher level makes the code denser.

How do I make a QR code for Wi-Fi?

Open the Wi-Fi tab, enter the network name and password and choose the encryption type. Most modern phones offer to join the network after scanning. The password is stored in the code, so anyone with the code can read it.

Can I add a logo?

Yes. The tool then switches to level H automatically, because the logo covers part of the code. Keep it below about 20% of the area.

What is the minimum print size?

About 2 × 2 cm for close scanning. Use a larger size for posters and for long links, which make the code denser.

Which format should I download?

PNG works for screens and messengers, SVG scales without quality loss for design work, and PDF is handy for printing.
